Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is a form of talking therapy that looks at present issues and possible solutions to manage your problems by changing the way you think and feel. How we respond to distressing situations can affect our general wellbeing.

EMDR helps the brain to process distressing memories. This reduces the distress associated with the memory which in turn reduces the impact on a person’s life.
During therapy sessions, you will be encouraged to recall a traumatic event whilst receiving bilateral stimulation. This means receiving stimuli in a rhythmic left-right pattern and could be something you hear, see or feel (i.e. moving your eyes side to side).
